Christmas comes early

Anti-choice, pro-chastity blogger Dawn Eden...sings.

Generally I wouldn't poke fun at someone for putting themselves out there creatively, but shit--this is someone who accused me of being a threat to minors among other things. So you'll have to excuse me if I take some perverse pleasure in this. (Plus it's just plain funny.)

So go take a listen to Dawn Eden's song of love and (virginity?) loss, You Did Me Wrong. Maybe in her next song, Lil' Markie can sing back-up.

Thanks to Jill for the heads-up.

Do you think that this attempt is A) funnier B) not as funny or C) the same amount of funny as John Ashcroft's "Let the Eagle Soar" ?

Jesus that's terrible. I couldn't even make it through the entire track, mostly due to the insane amount of reverb who ever mixed put onto her voice.

The drums lacked anything decent, there was nothing that caused the rhythm section to have a decent *swing* to it. The guitar was terribly eq'd and over lapped her voice even more so. Terrible terrible mix down and mastering. Of course I am an audio engineer so I can bitch about stuff like that.

The few lyrics I did hear just made me laugh.

I have to vote C) the same amount of funny as John Ashcroft's "Let the Eagle Soar." That's a lot of funny.
Maybe the conservatives should just leave the arts to us. ^_^

Please consider taking a copy of that recording the next time your local school board considers funding for music programs.

This cheesy recording reminded me of those You Can Sing! recording studios at Golf and Stuff. Next she's going to post her 9th grade recording of "Right Here Waiting for You" by Richard Marx.

And I am still friends with about 1/2 of the people that I've slept with. In fact, I talk to a few of them on a regular basis; we're friends.

And none of them "Did Me Wrong" because I made the choice to sleep with all of them and am willing to take responsibility for any outcome. I hate the idea that just because a woman slept with a lying bastard, she's suddenly the victim. Get off the cross, we need the wood to build a Planned Parenthood.

The entirety of my comment over there was:

"Ick."

I think that about covers it.

I am going to have to go with a) funnier than "Let The Eagle Soar."

I wish I wasn't in the campus library so I could laugh and heckle as loud as I want. As it is, everyone is probably already suspicious of my hunched posture and my shaking shoulders.

And she's censoring her comments. What a shock.
