Um...wow.
And you thought Abercrombie was bad? Check out the latest from Delia's. And yes, I know "tight" is slang for cool. But I think we all understand the double entendre here. And it's fucking nasty--especially considering Delia's clothing is primarily marketed towards pre-teens.
Kitchen Tables has the corporate contact info; go let them know that sexualizing little girls is never in style.

Yikes. Maybe that means something different if you're a tween..? No, no, there's no sense in me giving Delia's the benefit of the doubt.
Here, maybe today's Diesel Sweeties will make you feel better about the world: http://www.dieselsweeties.com/
You can also leave a brief complaint via the "comments, complaints" option at their website: http://store.delias.com/item.do?categoryID=&itemID=46386
You're limited to 200 characters, but "How offensive!" is succinct.
I noticed the double entendre almost immediately. Definitely one of the most blatant attempts at sexualizing the user, but the tween part is what got me. I mean, do these people have any limits as to what they'll put on shirts in order to sell them?
Also? Spandex has been out of fashion since 1993.
Yes, but a tight pussy never seems to go out of style.
Does Delia's really market to tweens? My 24 year old wife seems to patronize them enough... but she does have a certain affection for Alice in Wonderland shirts...
Dunno - but the models on the website sure look like tweens, not 20's.
if you look at the sizing chart is says that Delia's shirts are junior sizes.... im assuming that is because they are marketed towards tweens.
I wonder if there's any chance this could be clueless use of youth slang, like that McDonald's ad where a young guy wants to have sex with a cheeseburger.
Cheers,
TH
I have to admit that I did not get the sexual reference at first, so maybe the people at Delia's just didn't get it either. Now that I do, I am totally creeped out! Ewww!
And Tom, thank you so much for that wonderful ad - it made my day.
I also have to mention that even without the prevy message, I think this shirt is goofy as hell. "I'm tight like spandex!" WTF?
