I'll tell anybody who listens that Dr. Adams and I went to the same high school (he graduated about 7-8 years before I did). Only in our curious meritocracy could an admitted D student and one-time community college dropout who, with the help of God and the parents' money, perservere to become an associate professor at a lesser NC university, thereby establishing his bona fide credentials to write a national column for a loose amalgamation of reactionary cranks.

If he is sincerely serious about not taking feminists seriously, it would be a serious sign of a serious mental defeciency on his part.

In conclusion: His attempt to "not take them seriously" has seriously failed.

Norbiz, it doesn't surprise me. For one thing, the guy doesn't know how to construct an argument. Frankly, his columns are childish as well as poorly written.

He's such a winner. His disdain for women - not just feminists - shines through.

Obviously Mike Adams is the one who shouldn't be taken seriously. Not one single sentence in any of his articles proves that he has the capacity or aptitude for critical thinking. Not only does he stereotype with pathetic fervor, while over- generalizing what a feminist is or stands for, but he has the audacity to insult women who have been raped or sexually molested by criticizing "Take Back The Night".
Perhaps Mr. Adams would feel differently if his wife,mother,sister,aunt,or niece fell victim to a sex crime. 1 in 5 women in North Carolina ALONE will be victims of some kind of sexual offense in their lifetime. (I would not wish this on anyone not even my worst enemy's loved ones). It seems that those women who have the misfortune of dealing with him directly should not waste their time arguing or even conversing with such an ignorant, clueless, misogynist. Convincing a meathead like that about anything of value is futile. He is really just a right-winged bully and although he seems to target women I'm sure they're not the only ones. He wants us to feed his fire, why bother? There are plenty of ways to go about being a feminist without excerting precious energy on one particular total dickhead.
So on that note I have already wasted to much time being irritated by said dickhead and would like to turn my attention to all of those kick ass feminists that I love, like the lovely ladies who came up with this website THANK YOU it's one of my favorites and Thank You Margaret Cho for, well everything but at this moment having feministing.com on your website so I could find it, and to all of the beautiful WOMEN out there who everyday deal with the fallout effects of idiots like Mike Adams infesting the planet.
