Donald Trump has selected Jeff Sessions — who was deemed too racist to be confirmed for a federal judgeship in the 1980s — for Attorney General.

Hate crimes are up, and white students are harassing other students in Trump’s name.

“To argue that this election is what happens when we stop listening to ‘real America,’ where we assume real America to be rural and white, is to reinforce one of the most entrenched and exploitative narratives of US democracy.”

“I do not trust the US [media] outlets to remain free and believe that many are already compromised.”

Here’s a glimmer of light: Maggie Nelson is starting an online literary magazine “devoted to the nexus of literature, poetics, art, criticism, philosophy, culture, and politics.” The first issue is on contagion, or “co-touching, touching together.”
