#GiveOUTDay is this Thursday and Feministing needs your help!

Give OUT Day

Give OUT Day — a national day for supporting LGBTQ causes — is this Thursday, 5/21. We’re excited to announce that — now that Feministing is able to accept tax-deductible donations — we are participating in this major fundraising event for the first time.

And we need your help!

Please click here to donate — you can donate right now even though Give OUT Day is officially Thursday. And please share our fundraising page with your networks via social media, email, shouting about Feministing in the street, etc. Use the hashtag #GiveOUTDay to join the conversation with other fundraisers supporting LGBTQ causes.

Feministing is run on a shoestring budget. Funds are tight, and we need to be bringing in more money to be able to keep bringing you the cutting-edge feminist news, analysis, and ways to take action you rely on. Give OUT Day is an excellent opportunity for us as a very small, underfunded organization, since we’re eligible for cash prizes if a large number of people donate. So if you’ve been meaning to support Feministing for awhile but haven’t gotten around to it, this would be a great time to do so, as every single donation through Give OUT Day potentially counts even more than usual!

With your help we can continue fighting to end dehumanizing media about trans women, furthering the conversation on intimate partner violence in queer communities, highlighting LGBT folks’ experiences with police profiling, uplifting the voices of a diverse group of young writers and organizers fighting for justice, and so much more.

Thank you so much! We couldn’t do this work without your help, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.
