New Favorite Tumblr: Female Pressure

You may remember that Bjork mentioned in an all-around great interview recently that the lack of photographic documentation of women at work producing music may contribute the male-dominated culture of the industry.

Well, a global network of over 1300 female artists from 64 countries in the wider fields of electronic music has taken that idea and run with it by creating the Tumblr Female Pressure. It offers “a visual catalogue of female producers, DJ’s, media artists and electronic music performers at work.” Check it out and, if you’re a music-maker, contribute your own photo.
