Happy birthday Wagatwe!

WagatweYes, we have another Feministing Scorpio who literally just joined the blog. Today is Wagatwe Wanjuki’s birthday!

While Twe’s new to the main page of the blog, she’s been a friend of Feministing’s for a while, including writing about campus issues on this site through her work with SAFER. She’s part of the badass Know Your IX campaign along with our own Alexandra, which we’ve also written about a good deal. Twe’s also organized to get corporations to end their membership with ALEC with ColorOfChange and to get an Oklahoma school to end its racist dress code policy. And she’ a big social media nerd. Yeah, Twe’s pretty great, and we couldn’t be happier to have her writing for the site. So far here at Feministing she’s written about Border Patrol violence and Forever 21 being racist.

Please join us in wishing Twe a very happy birthday!
