The protestors in Tucson who blocked a bus from deporting immigrants had a small victory: the detainees they were blocking received no jail time and were directly deported.

In Chile, thousands of indigenous Mapuche’s and their allies participated in protests against Columbus Day, calling for “political self-determination and [slamming] the government’s role in land rights disputes in the country’s south.”
