11 senators including Democrats Kirsten Gillibrand, Elizabeth Warren, Edward Markey, Patrick Leahy and independents Bernie Sanders and Angus King, and Republican senators (and not a single Republican) are asking the federal Bureau of Prisons to NOT go through with its plans to transfer 1,000 female inmates from Danbury, Connecticut to a facility in Aliceville, Alabama. If they do move the women, they will be much farther from their friends and families and much less accessible.

And THIS is what it looks like when the media whitewashes racism.
