Quick Hit: Melissa Harris-Perry talks cultural appropriation and the “Harlem Shake”

For the first few weeks, I thought I was missing something and that there had to be some logical reason that this dance trend was called the Harlem Shake. But I wasn’t, and it was called the Harlem Shake because people thought that’s what the Harlem Shake is. *face palm*

Recently, videos of the real Harlem Shake surfaced on Youtube. But I can always count on MHP to add some much needed nuance and and critical analysis. Consider yourselves checked.
