What We Missed
A federal appeals court has reversed its own decision finding the Army Corps of Engineers partially liable for the flooding of New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. The court originally held the Army Corps liable for “monumental negligence,” but has now determined the government is immune to liability.
Women earn less than men in 97 percent of Congressional districts, earning on average 77 cents for every man’s dollar, but in some places earn 61 cents.
