Two Hours To Beautiful

I remember back in seventh grade, I’d ask girls, “How long does it take to do your hair?” and they’d reply, “I get up at 5am to do it, so like two hours.” Two hours?! Are you kidding me?! I could see 20 minutes to make sure your hair was combed out nicely but two hours?! I mean, we were seventh graders for crying out loud! We weren’t even teenagers and these girls were spending two hours on their hair! Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being beautiful, but if you have to spend two hours in the morning to make it happen, you need to stop and think about it – Do you really need to spend this much time everyday to be beautiful? The biggest thing that bothers me is when girls pull their make-up out during class. Is this really necessary? I’d ask them, “Why do you do that?” which would usually come with a snooty reply, “Because I have to look beautiful!” If I got a snooty reply, I’d just sit back, but I do remember a few times where I’d have a pep-talk with these girls; “You don’t need make-up to look beautiful, you know.” and so on, and so forth. I’m now a freshman and I don’t see the make-up as much, but there’s deffinitely girls getting up at 5 am to do their hair, and probably their make-up aswell. There’s nothing wrong with doing your hair or putting on make-up, but if it’s going to cut into your beauty sleep, you need to re-think your morning activities a little.
