Today is the 44th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. Vigils are being held across the nation.

A suspect has been charged in the WI Planned Parenthood bombing: 50-year old Francis Grady, who may have had a history of attending anti-choice protests.

Today’s reminder that people suck: Residents of Anchorage, Alaska voted down Proposition 5, which would have added civil rights protections to the LGBT community.

In 2011, California spent $9.6 billion on prisons, compared to $5.7 billion on higher education.

    A 5:30 PM update to the Francis Grady story on the same site says he confessed to doing it, that he says he used gasoline and not a bomb, and it was because “they were killing babies”.
