Shout out to my city. If you really want to get a vibe for the racial climate in San Antonio, check out the comments beneath the story and/or visit the SA newspaper website mysa.com and read the comments on there.

Wow, I really don’t miss San Antonio. I love how no one in those comments gets WHY it’s racist. WTH are you chanting USA when you’re playing another team from the same city? Because your team is white and the other appears to all be Mexican? Yeah. Racist. Were they chanting “Viva la Mexico?” No. So keep your xenophobia to yourself. Ugh. So glad I don’t live there right now.

Michelle, I think they do get it. They’re just a-holes who agree with the sentiment that white = better.
