We’re probably a “douche-y couple”, not that it’s made entirely clear on the Occupy V Day website what that is, but I suspect actually enjoying each other is a major contributor. And after years of hearing how “crazy girls ultimately scare people off” and assumptions physically disabled people are asexual I’m not inclined to stop being a douche-y couple just because some corporation has decided to turn Lupercalia into some saccharine cash-cow of a holiday, or any other reason really. I hope same-sex marriage advocates, polyamorists, and general everybody else that sees emotions as not falling into whatever little box society wants them to be in goes on the douche-y tip in the face of everyone else who tells them not to!!!

(Honestly though, I’m more interested in when the Feminist Zine Fest in Brooklyn is in February than Valentine’s day.)
