What We Missed

A new Frontline documentary airs tonight on PBS, called “Lost in Detention” about the Obama Administration’s controversial immigration crackdown. Trailer above.

Columbia Law School introduces a new Center for Intersectionality and Social Policy Studies. It will: “examine how social structures and related identity categories such as gender, race, and class interact on multiple levels to create social inequality. The Center will be the first of its kind in the nation.” Awesome.

Organizers of the Bristol SlutWalk (in the UK) last week, abandoned the term slut during the actual event.

Columbia Law School introduces a new Center for Intersectionality and Social Policy Studies. Awesome indeed, oh how I wish…

Also the withdrawal of Slut from the Bristol Slutwalk is interesting. I have felt uneasy about this from the start, but appreciate that it has got loads of coverage and started the debate in public, so felt it was a necessary evil.
