Shameless self promotion of my First Book

Hey to the community!

My name is Meg. I’ve been a long time reader and sometimes contributor to this amazing online community of  thinkers, organizers, and otherwise all around amazing women. I recently published my first book of poetry, prose, and short stories entitled “FFing”, which stands for “Flirty Fishing” and NOT “Fist F***ing”. The reason that I think this is relevant to the Feministing community, besides shameless self promotion, is that from the cover itself throughout the whole book I explore a load of feminist issues like sex and sexuality, body issues, responses to catcalling and pedophilia, mommy issues, power struggles between women and women, between men and women, between the individual and society, etc. This community and other home grown, offline communities have so heavily shaped the person and the writer that I am so much that I feel that it would be a disservice to not mention my book to those communities that raised me in a way. So here’s the link. I hope you’ll buy it, but most importantly I hope you’ll read it and talk about it with your friends, sisters, mothers and tell me what you think.
