I’m in rainy Minneapolis, MN for Netroots Nation, a major progressive blogging and organizing conference. I’m at the LGBT Netroots Connect pre-conference today, organized by Michael Rogers. And just so you know, we’ve already made “no fake lesbians” one of our group agreements. The conference starts in earnest tomorrow, when Maya and Shark-Fu will be here as well. I’ll be blogging from the conference and cross-posting at VenusPlusX.org who have given me a generous scholarship to attend the conference.
If you’re at Netroots come and say hi! You can also follow the conversation on Twitter with the hashtags #NN11 and #NN11LGBT.

Welcome to Minneapolis, Jos (and Maya, tomorrow)! I look forward to reading your blog posts, as I can only be at the conference on Saturday.
Hi Jos, Feministing fans, and everybody at Netroots — I want to invite you all to stop by an event on Friday afternoon: the Drive-In for Saudi Women’s Right to Drive, near E. Lake Street and 27th Ave. S. — very accessible by public transport. Come find out what Gretchen Cooper (a Gender Justice client) and Manal Al-Sharif have in common. Get your picture taken in the Gender Justice cut out car — we’ll forward it to the Saudi Embassy.
Oops — messed up that link. There’s more info on http://www.genderjustice.us.
It’s so great that you’ll be there, Jos!
Fans of Exhale can check out Aspen Baker on the awesome panel “FTW: Social Networks, Down and Dirty for Change” on Friday and stop by our self-organized Pro-Voice Caucus on Saturday morning! Hope to see more Feministing folks out and about at the conference!
