Chevron ordered to pay $17 billion in damages for pollution in Ecuadorian Amazon

An Ecuadorian court has ordered Chevron to pay $17 billion in damages as restitution for heinous pollution in the Ecuadorian Amazon over the last thirty years. Chevron, unsurprisingly, has already stated it will not pay.
