Welcome Goddess Jaz!

Photobucketgoddess jaz has been part of the larger feminist blogging and social media community for a while. We met back at Netroots Nation and let’s just say the rest is history. I am so glad to have her join us for a few weeks, she is an experienced writer and let’s just say she has been known to get down on the dancefloor. Her bio:

goddessjaz is a social media professional, and an ongoing student and advocate of reproductive justice. She created a blog and collective, Goddesses Rising, in March 2008 providing an open space for smart women to discuss health, art, politics, social issues, and spirituality; and also regularly blogs for RH Reality Check. As a communications professional, she advises media personalities, businesses, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations on increasing their social media presence and creates written promotional materials. goddessjaz earned her B.A. in Communication from the University of Delaware and an M.S. in Mass Communication from Boston University where she studied communications theories and media analysis. She has a strong interest in holistic health and nutrition, especially sexual and reproductive disciplines, and has taken classes with the International Center for Traditional Childbearing. She has been studying and performing dance since age 3, and is currently exploring various styles including burlesque and African diasporic dances. Checking out live music is one of her favorite therapeutic activities, along with meditation, manicures and margaritas (not at the same time!). goddessjaz was raised in Mt. Vernon, New York and currently lives in Harlem, New York City.

You might have already noticed that she wrote something awesome this morning as well. Please welcome Miss Goddess to the crew!
