Vote for Jimmie Briggs in GQ’s Better Men Better World Search!

GQ is holding its annual Better Man Better World Search, which aims to highlight and further the work of men who are improving their communities and their world. Jimmie Briggs, founder of the Man Up Campaign, works with men to end violence against women and to raise awareness about VAW as an issue that everyone, regardless of their gender, should care about.

“Most men don’t rape women, they don’t hurt women or even use misogynistic language, but they do stand by. They don’t see this issue as their issue. They see it as a women’s issue, but it is all of our issue,” says Briggs. The Man Up Campaign, which has received support from the Clinton Global Initiative, is a global campaign that works with young men in particular, to educate them about and involve them in efforts to end violence against women.

If Briggs wins the GQ competition, which is decided by your votes, he’ll win a feature in GQ, so that he can spread the word further and wider, and $10, 000 to donate to a charity of his choice.

It takes twenty seconds to vote, so go do it, and promote the work of this great man and his vital organization!
