I don’t know, it just doesn’t really make sense. If the GOP made “American English” the official language, why are they putting out advertisements in Spanish?

I think the Republican Party is trying to find a way to appeal to Hispanic voters, who are a growing identity group. If the Democratic Party was able to cement itself in such a fashion as is true now for African-Americans, it would have a decided advantage over the GOP.
