Letting it all out

I’ve always disliked social network sites. It’s too much information thrown at you that you just don’t need. People become obsessed with it. Blah blah blah. However, I think I’ve finally figured out a really good use for it, at least for me. You see, I have this crazy anger all bottled up inside and I’m tired of trying to find ways to let it out but be respectful and intelligent while doing so. I think Facebook may be my fix… at least for now.
That being said I Am Angry. I am so enraged at the things I see, the things I hear, and I fucking refuse to just grin and bear it anymore. I’m done. I’d love to say all these things to the people that need to hear them, but sometimes that’s just not possible. I had a very bad day at work, and since I cannot afford to be fired, let this be my outlet.
To the people at my work…. The one’s who said “Oh well, she shouldn’t have been dressed like that out at a club getting drunk…” when talking about Ben Rothelsburgers accuser. Really fucker? It’s her fault if she was raped? I am so fucking sick to death of the culture of “Blame the Victim”. She was dressed like she wanted it… she was drunk… she shouldn’t have been in that neighborhood… she shouldn’t have done this she shouldn’t have done that. How about HE SHOULDN’T HAVE RAPED HER. Now I’m not saying Ben is guilty, not at all, fact is we may never know the truth. That doesn’t matter, this is just an example. What matters is, guilty or not, these assholes I work with were blaming what may have happened to this girl on her. Blaming the victim for the crime committed against them. Fuck you, and fuck every single news media outlet that puts ANY responsibility on the victim and makes excuses for people that COMMIT CRIMES.

To the other person at my work…. The one who said “Those tutty-fruitys are the most judgmental.” This little gem came out when an employee from her son’s school called her to report a minor infraction committed by her son. Her response? Oh, that teachers gay, and you know how the gays love to persecute. Seriously?! Besides the dehumanizing term “tutty-fruity”, assuming that anyone would judge her son based on their own sexuality not only makes no fucking sense, it’s counter logic. Assuming for a moment you COULD generalize an entire population of people into one stereotype, don’t you think that population (specifically homosexuals) has suffered enough judgment at the hands of others that they may be disinclined to judge so easily?! None the less… fuck you for being homophobic and for blatantly stereotyping, even if it lacked logic.
To Oklahoma…Requiring women to undergo a very specific ultrasound from her doctor (if she wants to or not) if considering an abortion. Oh and, protecting said doctor from any legal action should he/she withhold medical information such as possible birth defects. So women will be forced to have a medical test they may not want, and if the doctor lies to them or withholds information, they have no legal recourse. Oh and rape or incest victims don’t have a choice either.
To Arizona…For passing legislation that will allow the legal racial profiling and discrimination at the hands of the police and government officials. Terrific. “Give me your tired, your poor. Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free” yeah, fucking, right. “Give us your cheap labor, but when you try to become a legal citizen, we will attempt to slow you down and make it as difficult as fucking possible at every turn.” Oh and if you are a legal citizen, but look Hispanic, prepare to be profiled against and harassed. And there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.
To every person I know that says “Dude, that’s gay”, or makes a Rape Joke, or calls a transgender person a “He-she” or that says nigger or faggot, even though they are “Just Joking”.
To every woman calling another girl a Bitch or a Slut or otherwise attempting to put another woman down when we should all be STICKING TOGETHER.
To the people that started a Facebook page called “No means Yes and Yes means Anal”. To every person that’s a fan of that page.
To the people more concerned with Sandra Bullock’s divorce then with anything real going on in the world. Crimes against humanity are going on in your own backyard and all you give a fuck about is what’s on TMZ.
To the fact that Gays, Lesbians, and Transgendered people in the military, who OFFER THEIR LIVES to protect ours, are forced to hide who they are. They have to lie or face losing their careers, all the while knowing they could be killed on the job, and we STILL have not repealed Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.
To Fox News, CNN, misogyny, the Patriarchy, and every single person that uses the word Feminist as a bad thing-
