Unfortunately, in this case the woman challenging Maloney states as one of her reasons that Maloney is too tough on Wall Street. With a background at a hedge fund and at Davis Polk, she seems to explicitly be the financial services industry’s candidate. Since I’m against the Shumerites, Wall Street and corporate America generally having so much influence in our politics, put me in the Maloney column.
The Baby Boomers believed that they were important and that people ought to hear them. This has not subsided.
