Choice USA, an awesome youth reproductive justice organization, is accepting applications for it’s Southern Reproductive Justice Institute to be held in Durham, NC this March. More information here.
There is a horrific facebook page entitled “Kill your hooker so you don’t have to pay her.” I hope I don’t have to explain what’s wrong with that. There are some proposed revisions to the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual in regards to how gender identity disorder is classified, instead referring to it as gender incongruence. Still not sure what this might mean for trans folks, but we’ll have more soon.
The non-profit organization SAGE was awarded almost one million dollars from the Department of Health and Human Services to provide services to elderly LGBTQ folks. Bilerico has the details.
