One of the few remaining feminist bookstores, Women and Children First in Chicago, celebrated it’s 30th anniversary this weekend.
Happy 30th, WCF, and here’s to another 30 years.

*cheers*
WCF is where I bought my first Ani cd. Ah, memories…
Why have they all gone under? The economy? *curious*
Amazon, Borders and Barnes & Noble, but mostly Amazon. Just like the recording industry, the publishing industry is flailing about frantically in the wake of the old business model collapsing.
One of my favorite bookstores in the Midwest! Way to represent WCF, cheers to you for 30 years more.
YAY! I love Women and Children First! Without it I’d have to wait weeks for my obscure feminist books to arrive via Amazon.
Also, my Women’s and Gender Studies professor had us buy all our books for her class from the store, and the store representative was willing to come to our class and sell them there, which was so convenient and considerate of them.
