Stay classy, Joe Francis

jfrancis.jpgAshley Alexandra Dupre, the sex worker in the Spitzer scandal, has filed a lawsuit against Girls Gone Wild, which notes that Dupre was underage when she exposed herself on video.
GGW founder and known asshole Joe Francis’ response: “But I think it’s ironic that she charged Gov. Spitzer $2,000 for sex and she wants to charge me 10 million for taking some naked pictures of her…I feel like I’m getting a raw deal.”
Warms the heart, no?

For an example of a previous call girl (not a street walker) who writes about the sexual abuse she experienced while working in the industry for a very short period of time, you can check out this book I read just out of interest awhile back:
” Callgirl: Confessions of an Ivy League Lady of Pleasure ”

I can’t believe there’s even an argument to be had from a feminist perspective. Now; here’s the thing. Drunk girls taking off their clothes to impress you is indeed a desert island fantasy, realigning that to your frequency as required. Mardi Gras! St. Patrick’s Day! Carnival! But you can’t market it. Making money off drunken, nude women is inherently disruptive to the time-honored institutiton of drunken, nude women–don’t get me started on Steel Drums: RUINED for life.

Joe Francis is a misogynist pig who is exploiting girls for profit. He belongs in jail. Of course the justification is girls choosing to participate. These girls are pressured by camera crews and their peers to participate. Add alcohol to the mix, and its all done. Just degrading and sad.
